While I live reveiw
The book I choose to do my book report on was While I live, by John Marsden. John Marsden lives in south east Melbourne. he lives on a farm where he sometimes holds writing camps for gifted young writers. He has two loving children and a wife who live with him at his farm house in Melbourne. So far John Marsden has written over thirty books with his latest release being Incurable, the second book in the sequel to tomorrow when the war began tomorrow when the war began about a group of kids that decide to go camping for a few days in a very remote area aptly named “hell”. while the small group is out camping australia is invaded. all of their parents are taken hostage and kept at their hometown of wiarawee. so to aide the armed forces in the reclaiming of australia this small band of teenagers decide to become gorillas risking life and limb for their beloved country, family and friends. the book is all about them surviving in the bush and their battles against an unnamed enemy.
i would recomend this book for teenagers and up because it deals with some fairly mature issues that some younger ages would not be able to deal with.
mandarins review
the part i most enjoyed in the book jugging with mandarins was when pip won the climbing competition because it was what a big part of the book was focused on and it was enjoyable seeing the character do what he had worked so hard for. there were no parts in the book that were mot understandable because the book was fairly well written. my favourite character in the book was pip because he was the one you got to know the best and i really understood how he felt as the book took each new turn. i don’t really believe that the ending with pip and katie should have been ended so abrubtly and that they should have worked out their differences and become just friends again. the book is called juggling with mandarins because it is all about how pip juggles life.
